Meet Your Coach:

Psychedelic-Informed Leadership Coach & Holistic Healer in Colorado

April Lee works at the intersection of personal and systemic healing — a traditional healer, meditation teacher, and leadership coach with 16 years of practice. Born and raised in the Southwest, she is part of the Quintana and Trujillo families of Southern Colorado and carries both Spanish and Puebloan lineage.

April Lee's path to healing is rooted in family and place. Curanderismo — the holistic tradition of healing body, mind, and spirit through nature — has long been alive in her community. Her grandmother, like many in the Southwest, relied on natural medicine to treat common ailments, a legacy that continues today through her family's pharmacy in LaJara, Colorado, where herbal remedies are offered alongside conventional medicine. Nature and plant medicines are central to her life and work.

A Unique Blend of Executive Coaching, Neuroscience, and Ancient Healing

She walks in two worlds, weaving ancient wisdom and modern science. Her training spans multiple traditions and decades. April Lee has studied and been initiated into Curanderismo, practicing Pláticas and Limpias as part of a whole-person approach to restoring harmony and balance. She has maintained a mindfulness meditation practice for over 20 years in the Zen Buddhist tradition of Thich Nhất Hạnh. She earned a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and is an ICF certified Professional Certified Coach. She brings her medicine into organizations and supports leaders who want to have a positive impact on the people and organizations they lead.

In plant medicine work, April Lee brings a warm, grounded, caring presence to individual and small-group ceremonies. Her depth of wisdom and dedication to the safety and well-being of every practitioner give others a sense of ease. She effortlessly weaves mindfulness, music, prayer, breathwork, and neuroscience to create a harmonious sacred container for people to relax into. April Lee has been honing her skills for over 25 years, beginning in 2001 at the Center for Sacred Studies and deepening with the Santo Daime, a Brazilian spiritual tradition that works with plant medicine and integrates Catholicism and Indigenous South American Shamanism. In 2025, April Lee earned her license as a Natural Medicine Facilitator in Colorado, meeting rigorous standards for safety and ethical care.

At the heart of April Lee’s work is a deep conviction that personal transformation and collective change are inseparable. She believes humanity stands at a crossroads — moving away from centuries of individualism and extraction, and toward cooperation, reciprocity, and reverence for all life. Plant medicine can play an important role in our collective evolution. She sees her role as a connector, helping people connect with one another, with their own hearts, and with the living world around us for guidance on the path forward — the way we become rooted, responsible, and genuinely available to one another and to the Earth. This is how we build a future that supports life.
